Artificial Intelligence, shifting attitudes toward work, and global disruptions are reshaping the modern workforce. To keep up, education and training organisations must change quickly. We at the HEART/NSTA Trust see our instructors as central to this shift, helping us to future proof the Jamaican workforce.

To ensure our teams remain at the cutting edge, the Trust is partnering with Guangdong VCOM Educational Technology Company Limited — a premier vocational solutions provider based in Guangzhou, China—to deliver world-class technical training in Jamaica.

From June 1–5, 2026, twenty HEART/NSTA instructors will gather at the HEART College of Construction Services (HCCS) for an intensive, hands-on workshop. The initiative targets three rapidly emerging fields: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Electronics, and Optoelectronics Technology.

VCOM will equip the workshop with advanced tools, software platforms, and industry-aligned methodologies. Through this structured engagement, our instructors will gain the hands-on expertise needed to translate complex technical concepts into practical, high-impact learning experiences for the Jamaican context.

This strategic investment directly strengthens the Trust’s capacity to deliver relevant, high-quality training in emerging technical fields. By empowering our instructors with international expertise, we continue to fulfill our mandate: to train, certify, and prepare a modern Jamaican workforce ready to compete and win on the global stage.
