The Human Employment and Resource Training/National Service and Training Agency Trust (hereinafter called the HEART/NSTA Trust or the Trust) is a Body Corporate established by virtue of the HEART Act of 1982 (“The Act”) with amendments as indicated in The Human Employment and Resource Training (Change of Name and Amendment Act) of 2019. The Board of Directors of the (HEART/NSTA Trust) hereinafter referred to as “the Board.” has taken up the challenge and has developed this Board Charter to govern its operations and to which it will be held accountable.
The Board of HEART/NSTA Trust has been given the statutory mandate to assume responsibility for the policy and general oversight of the affairs of the Trust. The Board, through the Chairman, works closely with the portfolio Minister of Government who has the power to issue general directions on matters of policy.
