Uber Wax Limited celebrated five years in business with a wellness-focused anniversary event in Portmore, St. Catherine. The celebration brought together clients, supporters, partners, family and friends to mark the company’s journey from a small mobile operation to a growing beauty and wellness brand serving customers across Jamaica.

Founded in 2021 by entrepreneur Tonya Hamilton, Uber Wax Limited celebrated five years of growth with a wellness-focused anniversary event featuring Pilates, massages and support from several sponsors. What began as a mobile self-care service has grown into a thriving beauty and wellness brand offering waxing, sugaring, massages, vajacials, brow lamination and other treatments across Jamaica.
A key contributor to the business’s growth was support from the HEART/NSTA Trust’s MSME General Support Programme. Through grant funding, business development workshops and training in areas such as entrepreneurship, taxation, finance and marketing, Hamilton strengthened Uber Wax’s operations, expanded its services and improved its long-term sustainability. The company’s five-year journey highlights the impact of vision, perseverance and strategic support in helping Jamaican entrepreneurs build successful businesses and contribute to national development.
