Objectives of the Training Camp:

The Opening Ceremony: Under the stewardship of Mrs. Julia Smiley Green, Director-Marketing and Communications at HEART/NTSA Trust and Communications Officer for WorldSkills Jamaica, the grandeur of the Opening Ceremony unfolded at 10:30 am. Dr. Taneisha Ingleton, Managing Director of HEART/NTSA Trust, delivered a warm welcome, encouraging participants to ignite a nationwide movement towards progress and prosperity.
The atmosphere was enriched by the melodious tunes of the HEART/College of Hospitality Services Choir, setting the stage for a day filled with inspiration and innovation. Senator the Honourable Dr. Dana Morris Dixon, Minister without Portfolio in the Office of the Prime Minister with Responsibility for Skills and Digital Transformation, delivered a compelling Keynote Address, highlighting the importance of robotics in driving technological advancement and economic growth.
As the curtains drew to a close, the Closing Remarks were presented, marking the conclusion of a day that showcased the convergence of skill, innovation, and international collaboration in the dynamic field of autonomous mobile robotics. Through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and inspiration, the WorldSkills Autonomous Mobile Robotics Training Camp laid the foundation for a brighter future powered by robotics innovation.
