Objectives of the Training Camp:
• Build Knowledge: Educate stakeholders on the operations, programming, and manufacturing of aerial and mobile robotics.
• Promote Collaboration: Facilitate opportunities for networking and collaboration within the robotics industry.
• Inspire Future Innovators: Showcase cutting-edge technologies and real-world applications, promoting robotics as a viable and exciting career path.

The Opening Ceremony: Under the stewardship of Mrs. Julia Smiley Green, Director-Marketing and Communications at HEART/NTSA Trust and Communications Officer for WorldSkills Jamaica, the grandeur of the Opening Ceremony unfolded at 10:30 am. Dr. Taneisha Ingleton, Managing Director of HEART/NTSA Trust, delivered a warm welcome, encouraging participants to ignite a nationwide movement towards progress and prosperity.
The atmosphere was enriched by the melodious tunes of the HEART/College of Hospitality Services Choir, setting the stage for a day filled with inspiration and innovation. Senator the Honourable Dr. Dana Morris Dixon, Minister without Portfolio in the Office of the Prime Minister with Responsibility for Skills and Digital Transformation, delivered a compelling Keynote Address, highlighting the importance of robotics in driving technological advancement and economic growth.
As the curtains drew to a close, the Closing Remarks were presented, marking the conclusion of a day that showcased the convergence of skill, innovation, and international collaboration in the dynamic field of autonomous mobile robotics. Through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and inspiration, the WorldSkills Autonomous Mobile Robotics Training Camp laid the foundation for a brighter future powered by robotics innovation.

Application can be done on the same site using a desktop or laptop. If the programme you are interested in is closed for application. Physical application can be done at your nearest parish office. Please take your TRN, Birth Certificate, government-issued ID, and any proof of qualification you may have. We treat applications on a first come first serve basis.   2. What skills program do you have for nine and five-year-old? I have two brilliant grandsons who need to learn a skill.

To be enrolled in our programs, applicants must be 17 years and older, have their TRN, ID, birth certificate, 1 passport-size photo, and any proof of qualification such as CSEC subjects or stage three Mathematics and English City & Guilds.

  3. I’m a master loctician (self-taught) over 12 years of experience. How can I get a certificate to approve myself? I’m also interested in partnering with you. As I have a wide range of audience who are very interested in learning my skill, I think it’s best for them to be certified in the end.

Our Prior Learning assessment program would be the program that best suits your enquiry, as this one-day assessment is to certify individuals who have at least 1 to 2 years’ experience in the field. Kindly visit the HEART College of Beauty Services located at 10 Hope Road, Kingston 10 to register for this program or email them at hcbsrecruitment@heart-nta.org. Your second query is done through the HEART College of Beauty Services as well.

  4. I would like to apply for robotics classes. Where is the nearest location to apply and can two separate courses be done because if possible I would like to do a second course as well.

    1. Good day, Omelia. Thank you for your interest in our robotics program. This is offered at our Derrick Rochester Campus located in St. Elizabeth. Applications can be completed at the institution or your nearest parish office. Kindly see the link for our parish offices at: Locations – HEART/NSTA Trust. Applicants can participate in one full-time and one part-time program at the same time. So, you would have to ensure that the programs you are interested in that one is a full-time program while the other a part-time programme.

    1. Good morning, Tamara. Thank you for contacting us. While we do provide on-the-job training opportunities, you will be unable to gain the skill of cosmetology through this program. You will need to take part in the skill set program. The nearest institute that provides this training is Brown’s Town Cosmology.
