About the TVET Scholarship
Welcome to the HEART/NSTA TVET Tertiary Scholarship 2026 page.
The HEART/NSTA Trust offers twenty (20) undergraduate TVET scholarships tenable at local tertiary institutions for first year students (Full time or Part time). The scholarship provides 80% of tuition based on tenure of programme up to a maximum of four years.
This year we will focus on the following accredited programme areas.
- Agriculture
- Construction
- Creative Industries
- Engineering
- Global Digital Services
- Information & Communications Tech.
- Logistics
- Manufacturing
- Renewable Energy
- Tourism
Applications open: May 19,2026, closes June 19,2026
To qualify for the NSTA TVET Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a Jamaican citizen, 17 years old or older
- Be a first-year, full-time or part-time student at an accredited local tertiary institution (letter of acceptance required)
- Be pursing an undergraduate degree in a technical vocational field
- Not be the recipient of any other Government, of Jamaica funded scholarship
- Applicants must not have a first degree
- Provide proof of membership in an established service group (e.g., service club, youth club, community, or church group)
- Demonstrate financial need
- Submit completed HEART/NSTA Trust TVET Scholarship Application and Referee’s Form
- Attend a selection interview
