The HEART/NSTA Trust’s alumni network is an integral part of the HEART ecosystem which consists of past trainees of the HEART/NSTA Trust who have progressed in their respective fields whether career-wise or through future studies. The alumni network provides current trainees with access to mentorship, career advice, and guidance from graduates who have completed similar training programmes. This connection helps trainees make informed career choices and better understand their opportunities.

Alumni Engagement
In addition, alumni contribute to the growth and sustainability of the institution by offering internships, and providing other valuable resources. Their involvement helps enhance the quality of training and ensures the institution remains well-resourced and impactful.
Successful alumni also serve as ambassadors, showcasing the value of TVET programmes and helping to boost the institution’s visibility and reputation. Their stories can inspire future trainees and highlight the positive impact of technical and vocational education in the wider community.
HEART Alumni Network
The HEART Alumni Network is made up of recent graduates, mid-career professionals, and skilled individuals who have established themselves in their respective fields. While recent graduates may be easier to reach, experienced alumni are particularly valuable for mentorship and supporting job placement efforts.
Graduates are encouraged to register as alumni to share success stories and connect with opportunities.
The network also includes any former trainees who fall into the following categories):
- Graduates: Completed a HEART/NSTA Trust programme offering (such as NVQ-J, HSDE, etc.) and received an official certificate, for example, NVQ-J, HSDE diploma, etc.
- Awardees: Received a badge, award, or credential other than a certificate (e.g., via prior learning assessment).
- Non-Graduates: Completed some training with passing grades but did not finish the programme.
- Other: Participated through training, apprenticeship, or entrepreneurship not captured in the above categories.
