Application
Prospective trainees are required to complete an online application via the link here: heart-nsta.org or submit a paper-based application at the nearest HEART/NSTA Parish office or training institution. Online application can be done via your laptop, tablet or mobile device. Applicants must provide accurate personal details, academic qualifications, and other supporting documentation. Upon successful submission, an acknowledgement will be issued to confirm receipt of the application.
Screening and Career Assessment
The HEART/NSTA Trust requires all applicants to undergo a screening and career assessment exercise prior to admission into any programme. This process is designed to evaluate applicants’ academic readiness, technical aptitude, and career interests. It may include standardized assessments, structured interviews, and career counselling sessions. The purpose of this stage is to ensure accurate programme placement, alignment with labour market demands, and identification of any support services necessary for trainee success.
Admissions
Following successful screening and structured interviews, applicants proceed to the admissions stage. The admissions process involves the verification of academic and personal documentation, assessment of eligibility criteria, and confirmation of programme selection. Applicants are notified whether they have been accepted or not into their programme of choice or referred to another programme based on the assessment outcome. They are then guided by the institution’s admissions officers or client service officers, who ensure compliance with HEART/NSTA Trust policies and procedures. The admissions process is structured to promote transparency, fairness, and equitable access to training opportunities.
Registration
The registration process finalizes a trainee’s entry into the selected programme. Registration requires the completion of consent forms and confirmation of training schedules. Trainees are officially recognized as enrolled participants upon completion of registration. This stage also provides access to orientation activities, which outline programme requirements, institutional expectations, and trainee support services.
